::Playstation Home update:: ( New ps home space)
Feb 19th
locoroco island
Theres a new space in home and it’s called “locoroco island “. Based off the much loved playstation potable game locoroco, you now have the ability to bring your playstation character into the vibrant world of loco roco
With tons of mini games and events happening in this little tropical world, It seems to be a pleasant addition to the Playstation home space line up.
There is a point system in this space that matches alot of the other spaces in home, where you play games to get points or dance for one of the little locoroco characters to get even more points. At the end of the day you can take your points to the store located in the middle of the island to redeem cool clothes ect for your avatar. I am truly a fan of the locoroco series and it’s fun to hear these little squishy balls sing in unison.
Here is an example of one of the games located in the far end of the island. Theres also a new apartment called *drumroll please * LOCOROCO ISLAND except there is a twist! when you collect Pickories you can cash them in to unlock more places and gimmicks in your locoroco apt it looks amazing so much so i can see myself buying one
(video at the end of the article).
also going on in home is a huge battle going down this Saturday 8pm pacific time where theres a battle between androids seen here
and against the aliens who are here to eat us… there’s a funny trailer in the playstation home mall telling the story of how this game to be
This even is no different from the halloween even where you got to buy haunted apartments in order to be a zombie. even though i know this is a ploy to get my cash its still fun ;D
out of everything so far loco roco island has me the most excited by far and here is a video showing you just how good of a apartment this place is
- alien
- android :D
-OnLive- gaming console of the future?
May 16th
Onlive first came onto my radar about a year or two ago as a concept and nothing more an interesting concept but i dont think this will fit well in this current economic state.
People want things they can hold physical copies if anything they want to know that the game is theres and would not be lost
playstation is legacy, microsoft also legacy these names are household names and i would find it hard to see either of these powerhouse going under water any time soon. on live creates an interesting proposition instant access to games with increased socialbility that alone is sort of exciting but unrealistic with a horrible and cheap looking design and a hurtel to get ppl to REbuy there games its highly unlikely that this would launch but for now no one knows
it could be a console killer here is a 60min vid that explains what this company is trying to do plz listen to the Q&A at the end since there put on the spot a few times
*NOTE* remember when xbox first came onto the scene and no one thought they would make it….its too soon to tell but we shall see what onlive can do ![]()
The PirateBay Will Make You Pay$
May 12th
Ok , where going to do things a little bit like that one movie that counts down from the explosion then shows you what happens lol. I was on gizmodo.com trolling to see the interesting storys for the day when I saw this comment
” People who run one of the world’s largest websites for pirates… want those pirates… to pay someone money? Yes, yes, those on the receiving might not actually make anything, but this does seem to defeat the idea of “free”. That they could actually make $3.5 million is a little laughable, as that’s almost 27 million payments. They must think they have a following far more loyal than “hey, here’s an easy place to get free stuff.” You’d think that anyone who was willing to pay money in order to continue to receive goods and services would have, you know, paid money in the first place.” Posted by icelight
And thought to myself wow that has got to be the most truest of statements to date . here is what he is talking about
Im sure you rememeber the BIG pirate bay case, im sure everyone was eyeing that case since it determins the outcome of what happens to torrent users .Well sorry to say they lost the case ,they appelled but that didn’t go so well as of what im hearing .So in order to dodge the legal fees they are deploying a tactic gizmodo.com is calling the Ddo$ attack *distributed denial of dollars attack*. Under this plan you will be asked to pay an internet fee of $0.13 to be sent to the Danowsky firm and other music companies to handle and process all the payments . Most tend to agree pirates go to the site to avoid paying fees ,what makes piratebay think they can teach an old pirate new tricks? As much as I support what piratebay is about I just don’t have that much faith in a band of pirates , And if by chance they can get everyone to pull together to make 3.5 million dollars they better make a movie about it for it will be epic .
live space the holy grail of mmo
Aug 28th
Live Space looks like a dramatic upgrade to the greatly gossiped about home network for the
playstation network. Live Space boast many of the same social features
to boot such as sharing video with your friends in your personal space,
but live space gives the users a wider array of options your not going
to find on the playstation network or in aol’s sad attempt at vivaty. You will not only be able to share movies but your whole pc’s hardrive
will be accessible within the simulated world of Live Space wether your
on a mac or a pc. Live ups the anti with a beautiful photorealistic
landscape that looks a lot like San Fracisco
or New York City. In this world you can have your own personal space
(i.e live space) which takes the form of an apartment or even a
suburban house and in the city you can even have an office where you can share all types of documents such as pdf, ect, ect.
Also, you can do all of this without having to have the latest
computer. This is because Live Space is on an independent server that
shoots the photo realistic world to any pc/handheld device almost real
time. Leaving you only needing a fast connection to enjoy the simulated
life. This is what I believe to be the first real step towards desktop
2.0 where all our social interactions and networking will be overlayed onto out desktops as soon as we are signed into our personal pcs with that in mind, I’m as gitty as an appletard on iphone day. Brad Greenspan (whose name tech cruch.com found on the who is list of the Live space site ) Brad Greenspan, the founder of myspace as well as the name its self Live Space, hints that this is a new installment most likely a add on to myspace
itself. This is by far the next big thing with promise to usher in a
whole new era of social networking and how we view the way we interact
online live a life far away from your own or pick up with your friends
right where you left off. I wonder how many people are going to loose
themselves in the realistic Life simulator? Throw in some high
definition virtual reality glasses (which are already being sold) and
you got yourself an american version of the much drooled over anime hack//sign, a virtual mecca. I wonder when this opens to the public, will you see the streets come alive?
Alex’s secret site Projectlore.com
Jul 19th
“Project Lore” Founder Alex Albrecht from the popular diggnation has got bitten by the World OF Warcraft bug or as many of you know it as “wow” Something many of today’s players say once seeing the months past them by like a bullet train. On the front pages says it all, complete with a video introduction “Hi im Alex Albrecht i love wow now here is my super nerdy web site tv show…….why you ask good sir? because i can sir, because i can.” All jokes aside the video podcast leaves you feeling a little left out. * before i go on i want to add that im a huge diggnation fan and alex grew up around my side of the woods…virginia *….ok that being said the video blog feels like there’s something missing. It left me feeling like i was at a lan party and i forgot to bring my gaming pc. For thirty mins you get to watch alex and people i have never seen before in my life sit down and play the wow game with idle chitchat and words i have never heard before *lost* leaving me disconnected from the show and hoping someone was going to throw me info that i never heard before my way. Instead its just leaves you feeling like a third wheel to hardcore fans of wow who love watching other people play wow this would be a great place to go but for me i think ill stick to alex’s day job Diggnation.
“Bringing together five dudes, four cameras, and the one and only World of Warcraft, Project Lore is all about putting the best multimedia MMORPG game guides in one place. We also make a daily video show and a blog about all things WoW. Led by Alex Albrecht, the show follows the progress of a group of level 70 players who love beer and pizza and loathe Fel Orcs.”
