Geocaching is sooooo fun!!!!
Jul 7th
Messing around in my apple store one day in my iphone i discovered an app called “Geocaching a Groundspeak Project“ Being the type to go exploring the first chance i get *thanks to growing up with a family friends called the pattways in my early years* I immediately set out to find the cache closest to my house that was labeled in my iphone “industrial cache” went with a friend of mine we spent 30 mins and still no find so we left to head back home. Disappointed and still not willing to just give up i headed out to the next closest cache called “Parking my rump”
This next one was just as hard for me as the first one spent an hour then left even came back later that day with more friends and still no find i was going to give up and just forget about geocaching when i decided to go for just one more called “monument to evaporation” ended up being my first ever find
Right there we were hooked fish line and sinker. From that location we headed out to three other locations next up was “staff parking“only Which i have to say was the creepiest one of all (O.O) it was around 2 am when we got to this location and i always used to go past this one area when i was little going to lake taylor middle school creepy indeed if you dont belive me check out these pics
next up was in a parking lot of all places and i was just a little scared about how open it all was lol no stealth could be taken due to the spot lights
i personally loved the name choice “fresh hide” after distracting a muggle street sweeping we found the cache in no time
I could go on and on about how much fun i had with me and my friends right in our own neighborhood but words cant describe verbs very well with the climbing, searching and even some muggle distractions geocaching will be my #1 favorite pass time it has been a awesome adventure right up to the very last cache search of the night “bj’s for everyone” after we chuckled about the name choice for a few we finally found it
thnx to djchibiant for the awesome monkey skillz
if you want to start finding hidden treasures in your neighborhood here is how to get started.
If you happen to have a iphone then check out this app made by groundspeake project called geocaching
if not will will be good to find some sort of gps device you can still do the hunt without one but it will be alot more difficult and hard to pinpoint
but the best leap into the geocaching would be this site right here Geocaching.com
They make and awesome iphone app and a great community site where you can logg in and track your findings they even show you on a google map the ones you have found
with option to hide the ones you found or made
i love i it
feel free to leave your comments in the comment section at the bottom of this post
im new and still learning but i would love to share what i know already about this awesome hidden community!!
